Our services

Data analysis: we can conduct a range of simple and complex analyses of data to help explain what statistics actually say.

Data and information dissemination: we respond to statistical data and information requests and develop customised statistical information systems for Queensland Government departments and local governments.

Data integration and research collaboration: we facilitate access to Queensland Government data for approved research under the provisions of the Statistical Returns Act 1896.

Data management: we develop systems to process and validate data, and maintain statistical collections on behalf of other government agencies.

Demography services: we analyse and report on Queensland’s population characteristics.

Evaluation and performance measurement: we conduct and provide advice in relation to evaluations and performance measurement of government policies and programs.

Indigenous statistics coordination: we disseminate and improve statistics about the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in Queensland.

Projections and forecasts: we construct models of systems and project data, which include population, households and dwellings, and school enrolments data.

Resource communities research: we collect, analyse and report on population, workforce and accommodation data relating to Queensland’s resource communities.

Statistical networks and coordination: we maintain a statewide statistical network and represent Queensland Government in national statistical forums.

Statistical review: we provide advice or appraisals of proposed statistical measures, products or outputs.

Surveys: depending on an agency’s requirements we can provide a complete, integrated survey solution or, alternatively, advice on any aspects of conducting a sample survey.

Urban development research: we monitor residential land supply and development activity utilising Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
