What is an RSS feed/file and how can it be utilised?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds allow you to see when new content is published on a website without having to visit the site itself.

RSS files are commonly used on sites which release information on a frequent basis. Some uses for RSS feeds include media releases, latest news, latest releases, etc.

How do I access an RSS file?

To subscribe to a feed you will need a reader capable of interpreting the RSS file. There are many readers available and most are free. Some can be accessed through your browser and others are downloadable applications that you must install on your computer:
