Population growth highlights and trends, Queensland regions

This report provides an overview of population growth in Queensland’s local government areas and statistical areas level 4 (SA4s) over the years to 2012–13. Information on the fastest and largest growth in South East and regional Queensland is provided. A particular focus of the report is population change over time for the younger (0 to 14 year olds) and older (65 years and over) populations. Population data used in this report are sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) publications Regional population growth, Australia, 2012–13 (ABS 3218.0) and Population by age and sex, Regions of Australia, 2013 (ABS 3235.0).
