This bulletin contains summary information on Queensland’s population, including size and composition, change and trends over time, and a range of demographic characteristics. All data are sourced from the 1996, 2001 and 2006 Censuses of Population and Housing conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and are based on usual resident populations (unless otherwise specified).
