To create a report is easy. Go to the Queensland Government Statistician's Office homepage.
In the centre of the page, below the Population Counter, under the Key Products, select Queensland Regional Profiles.
In only six steps you will have your own tailored report.
Step 1. Select the type of report you want from one of the six report types.
If you hover your mouse over each individual report type, an explanation of the report is provided. For this example we will use Resident.
Step 2. Select the geography interface from the drop-down menu. You can drill down as far as Statistical Area 2, which includes between 3,000 and 25,000 people. In this example, let's choose Local Government Area, 2016.
Step 3. Select your region of interest by clicking in the white space under list selection, or click on the map. By selecting more than one region you can create your own customised region and you can name that region. Here we have chosen Bundaberg and Gladstone and named it Eastern.
Step 4. Select a comparison region. If a comparison region is required, select from the options. In this example we will select No comparison region required.
Step 5. Select your profile topics using the drop-down menu or leave the default as All topics. If you don't want all the topics, click on "Show topics", clear the checked topics and then click on the required topics. Depending on the geographical region you are looking at, some of the topics may not be available to view, these will be greyed out.
And lastly, step 6. Select the file type for your report. Here we have chosen PDF.
And here is your PDF report which you can save or print out.
If you wish to run this profile again, go to page 2 of the report and select to run this profile again and incorporate the latest available data please click here. This will produce a new report with the latest data and pre-selected regions.
