These data are sourced from the Regional Internal Migration Estimates (RIME) published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics in the publication Regional Population Growth, Australia, 2018–19 (ABS 3218.0).

The report compares RIME data for Greater Brisbane with other Greater Capital City Statistical Areas, and also those Statistical Areas Level 3 (SA3s) within Queensland with the highest net gains and losses due to internal population movement.

This bulletin contains information on population mobility between Statistical Area Level 4 (SA4) regions within Queensland (intrastate migration) in the year prior to the 2011 Census. The characteristics of people moving between Greater Brisbane and the remainder of Queensland are presented including information about age, labour force status and occupation.
