Projections of population, households and dwellings
QGSO produces official population, household and dwelling projections for Queensland and regions twice every five years to assist planning activities. These projections are based on extensive knowledge of population dynamics, residential dwelling activity, urban land supply and research into the changes brought by resource development.
School enrolment forecasts
QGSO produces five-year forecasts of student numbers for individual primary and secondary state schools, to assist the Queensland Department of Education in planning delivery of services to schools and future school infrastructure. The modelling is based on population and enrolment data, dwelling approvals, broadhectare and other supporting planning data.
