The 2026 Census night is on Tuesday 11th August and all Queenslanders are encouraged to participate.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics conducts the Census and will post out instructions in early August. This Census you can complete your form as soon as you have your instructions, if you know who will be home on Census night.
Options for completing the form include online or paper or with help from the ABS. For Queenslanders in remote communities Census staff will be available for face to face interviews over a longer period between July and August.
